Association for Managers of Innovation (AMI)
October 22-24, 2014
Kansas City, MO
hosted by Hallmark Cards, Inc. and Lee Jeans (VF Corp)

During the Fall 2013 AMI meeting, members were wishing for the “human side” of innovation to be explored in a future meeting to balance the emphasis on Big Data in Chicago. Creativity is the spark at the front end of innovation and very near and dear to Hallmark and Kansas City both real crossroads for innovation. Innovation happens around the colliding of ideas, even over coffee - hence the Crossroads and a desire for members to experience the Kansas City Crossroads area, very close to Hallmark. We plan to incorporate the idea of collaboration and empathy, since Hallmark is all about creating emotional connections and relationships and empathy being critical for successful innovation.

Beg, Brag, What If sessions will bring us to the meeting close. The meeting will have the AMI traditional close with everyone contributing their hand-written Learnings. A box lunch arrives where you can stay in the meeting room or find your own spot with others and continue to converse about your insights or seek answers to your questions. If you have to depart at noon, the box lunches are made to take with you.

The Hospitality Suite is open on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at Westin for AMI attendees and their guests to come and go until 11:30 p.m. Wine/beer and soft beverages are available while the AMI group gathers and shares ideas gleaned from their time together earlier in the day.

AMI Meeting participant rate is $875.00 US, which includes meeting rooms and support equipment, transportation to meeting sites, hospitality suite for two nights, Wednesday pre-meeting session, Wednesday reception, lunches and breaks on Thursday and Friday, and presenters travel expenses and honoraria, as well as other administrative expenses. Go to the payment page.
