In a world accelerated by machine learning, how can we use human learning to intentionally shape the future we co-create?
Boston and Cambridge have long stood at the heart of this question. From MIT’s pioneering AI Project in the 1950s to today’s thriving ecosystem of universities, research labs, and startups, the region continues to lead global innovation in artificial intelligence—balancing curiosity with caution as cities nationwide debate how best to harness AI’s power for good.
In April 2026, AMI convenes in Cambridge—home to Kendall Square, often called the most innovative square mile on planet. Hosted by Babson College’s AI Generator Lab, this unique gathering will bring together startups, researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers to explore how we might “become students again”—relearning, rethinking, and reimagining how AI can drive innovation, ensure equity, and advance human progress.
Come Join AMI in Cambridge April 22–24, 2026.

Reece Gardner ’26
Interests: AI product design, AI art, AI education
“People are scared about AI suppressing creativity, I think the exact opposite is happening. AI is enabling people of all ages to create things they were never able to create before. I’ve seen children 3D model high-fidelity prototypes and executives create designs that were outside of their wildest dreams. The barriers of entry to any creative discipline are disintegrating, and I think that’s amazing.”

Interests: Energy Abundance Systems/Cycles, Neurotech, and Human Computer Interaction
“Artificial intelligence has become a game of input data and context.
The more unique, vast, and human your input, the more creative the system can be. It’s no longer a matter of how to do things, but a matter of what we want to do and why. And I’m excited to build that next wave of what’s.”

A Typical AMI Meeting…
It’s through the collision between those different ideas, those different world views and those different perspectives that people become more original thinkers.
AMI meetings are built around the concept of Positive Turbulence, the idea that by inserting some turbulence into your thinking or your organization, you can create opportunities for ideas to collide and innovation to thrive.
