We are living through a period of profound signal disruption. AI is flooding our feeds with content that is often thin, sometimes false, and algorithmically designed to keep us from looking away, and it’s not the only source of noise. A “sustainable” label, an ESG claim, a certification stamp: each depends on a signal staying honest as it passes through hands and margins and supply-chain tiers most of us will never see. Institutional trust is at historic lows. The narratives that organize our industries, our organizations, and our innovation systems are under pressure from every direction, and not all of that pressure is innocent.

An Integrity Economy demands that we interrogate those narratives, that we separate fact from fiction, rebuild trust where it has become structural rather than real, ask honestly where the missing ideas and voices have gone, find the signal in a world engineered for noise, reckon with what inauthenticity is actually costing us and who is being asked to pay that cost, and learn to lead in ways that make room for the breakthroughs we cannot predict or control.

AMI’s next gathering takes that position seriously. Hosted at NC State’s Plant Sciences Initiative, where industry, academia, and government have built something genuinely generative through the kind of cross-sector trust and open exchange that defines the Integrity Economy in practice, we will spend 2.5 days doing the hard, generative work that most leaders can’t do inside their own organizations. We will leave with ideas, connections, and clarity we couldn’t have found anywhere else.

Venues

Our host hotel for Raleigh 2027 is The StateView Hotel, Autograph Collection — a boutique Marriott property in the heart of Raleigh, NC, overlooking Lake Raleigh. We’ll gather here for our Welcome Reception and for a half-day of programming on Friday. With more than 8,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, lakeside dining at Flask & Beaker, and a LEED-certified, sustainability-minded design, it’s a fitting home base for AMI’s gathering.

Thursday’s meetings will be held at NC State’s Plant Sciences Initiative on Centennial Campus — a 185,000-square-foot, LEED Gold research hub where industry, academia, and government collaborate on the grand challenges facing agriculture and the environment. It’s exactly the kind of cross-sector space our Integrity Economy theme is built around.

The Raleigh gathering is still taking shape, and that is exactly the point. What happens at an AMI meeting is never fully planned — it emerges from the people in the room, the speakers who push our thinking, the sponsors who make it possible, and the community members who show up ready to engage honestly.
